Sandra Anne McDougall, age 71, of McKinney, Texas passed away June 6, 2010. She was born January 25, 1939, in Framingham, Massachusetts, to Wendall and Evelyn Burtt. Sandra was a nurse her entire life. She volunteered at an animal shelter in McKinney and loved dogs. Sandra was an avid reader, and loved to travel. She is survived by her son, Henry “Buddy” Varney and wife Wanda, of Melissa, Texas; daughter, Laurie Berman and husband Dan, of Tustin California; stepdaughters, Bonnie Lackey, Lori Meyer, and Robin Hull, all of Palm Beach County, Florida; brother-in-law, James McDougall of Jupiter, Florida; granddaughter, Abbie Berman of Tustin, California; grandson, Aaron Berman of Tustin, California; granddaughters Amanda and Taylor Hull of Palm Beach County, Florida; a host of other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert McDougall and mother, Evelyn Burtt. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas, with Chaplain Mary Beth Hayes officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening beginning at 6:00 p.m.
