Sandra Lynn Manley, age 70, of Midland, Texas, passed away after a courageous battle against brain cancer and pneumonia on February 3, 2012 in Dallas, Texas. She was born on December 15, 1941 in Hopewell, Virginia to Mary Lynn (Stephens) and Eugene R. Carter. On August 31, 1963, Sandra married the love of her life, Larry Manley in Dallas, Texas. She had a Master’s Degree in History and taught school for over 30 years before retiring in 2004. Sandra is survived by her husband, Larry Manley of Midland, Texas; two daughters, Lisa Bartlett and her husband, Darren of Duluth, Minnesota and Karen Bentley and her husband, Tim of Frisco, Texas. She had three granddaughters, Emily Bartlett, Hailey Bentley and Victoria Bentley. Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, Mary Lynn (Stephens) and Eugene Carter, two brothers, Joe and Rawley Carter. A Memorial Service will be held at Ridgeview West Memorial Park in Frisco, Texas on Friday, February 10, 2012 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Billy Echols-Richter officiating.
