Samuel Abraham Samson, age 91, of McKinney, Texas, passed away December 8, 2012, in McKinney. Samuel was born May 19, 1921, in Surat, India, to Abraham and Sarah (Israel) Samson. He was a graduate of The Dufferin in Bombay, India. Samuel was in the Royal Merchant Navy. He worked for Bombay Shipyards as well as Esso Oil. Samuel was an extra First Class Chief Engineer.
He is survived by his daughter, Diane Wilensky and husband, Michael of Metairie, Louisiana; son, Philip Samson and wife, Genevieve of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Shira Wilensky of Charlotte, North Carolina, Joshua Wilensky and wife, Lisa of Little Rock, Arkansas, Alain Samson and Andre Samson, both of McKinney, Texas; great-grandson, Joseph Wilensky; and sister, Mary Selby of Ontario, Canada.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Freny Samson, sisters, Alice, Annie, Sophie, and Lizzy, and brothers, Joe, Edwin, Ben, and Moses.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas.
