Sally Ann (Holston) Cochran

Sally Ann (Holston) Cochran, age 71, of Allen, Texas, a thirty year cancer survivor, passed away June 30, 2008. She was born November 6, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan to Edward Quick and Ethel (Waldron) Holston. On July 20, 1957 she married Robert (Bob) Cochran in Detroit, Michigan. Sally worked as an emergency room nurse in Detroit, Michigan; Franklin, Tennessee; Indianapolis, Indiana and Plainfield, New Jersey hospitals. Sally was a Christian wife, mother, homemaker and nurse. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Allen, Texas where she was involved with the Stephen Ministry and the Harmony Class. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and crocheting. She is survived by her husband, Robert (Bob) Cochran of Allen, Texas; daughter, Margaret A. Landry and husband, Ron of Allen, Texas; grandchildren, Meridith, Mallory and Joseph Landry; son-in-law, John Biegun of Lake Orion, Michigan; grandchildren, Robert, Elizabeth and Steven Biegun; brothers, Edward Holston and wife, June of Columbus, Ohio, Don Holston and wife, Jean of Camano Island, Washington, James Holston and wife, JoAnn of Lincoln, California, Richard Holston and wife, Melanie of Maryville, California; sisters-in-law, Marg Holston of Santa Ana, California, Gail Holston of Olympia, Washington and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Julie Ann Biegun; brothers, David, Allen and Robert Holston. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 3, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church, Allen, Texas, with Rev. June Franck officiating. The family will receive friends during a remembrance gathering on Wednesday evening from 6:00-9:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Flowers will be received at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home or memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Allen, Texas in Sally’s memory.
