Sallie Frances Peacock Henley was born April 1, 1936 in Austin, Texas to Ernest Dewey Peacock and Mattie Lou Standifer Peacock. She died Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Texas Health Presbyterian WNJ in Sherman, Texas at the age of 77. She was a resident of Tom Bean, Texas.

Sallie was active in the American Legion, Ladies Auxiliary of Veteran Foreign Wars, and Toy's For Tots. She was a former president of the Ladies Auxiliary of Veteran Foreign Wars. She was of the Methodist faith.

She is survived by daughter, Debbie Cooper and husband Robert of Tom Bean; son, George Earnest Henley and Tammy of Sherman; son, Frederick Lee Henley and wife Kim of Austin; grandchildren, Michael, Makala, Matthew, Kris, Jason, Jonathon, Megan, Ashley, and Katie; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Gayle Brooks and husband Larry of Colorado; sister, Margie McKenzie of Ennis; brother, Charles Peacock of Sherman; brother, E.D. Peacock of Ennis. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother John Wayne Peacock.

Memorial Services will be held 4:00 PM, Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, Whitewright, Texas. Officiating the service will be Mr. Sergio Lopez.

Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Thursday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 2:00pm until service time at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Whitewright, Texas.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Hospice of your choice.
