Sadasiva Setty passed away on November 17, 2015 at the age of 69 years old at his home in Irving, Texas. Sadasiva Setty was born on April 1, 1946 to Guruprasada Pathikonda and Lakshmi Bai in Hospet, Karnataka, India. He completed his medical education at Bellary Medical College in Bellary, India. On June 18, 1970 he was married to Jeevarekha Kare in Bangalore, India. Shortly afterwards the couple immigrated to the United States in hopes of a bright future for their family. Sadasiva had further medical training as an intern in New York and Miami and went on to complete his residency in Anesthesiology in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. and Mrs. Setty then settled in Sandusky, Ohio for more than 25 years. It was here that Dr. Setty began a rewarding career as a respected area anesthesiologist and raised his daughter, Rupa, and son, Naveen.
In 2003, in order to be closer to his daughter Rupa and son-in-law Ravi, Dr. and Mrs. Setty moved to Ashland, Kentucky. Here Dr. Setty continued his career and helped to raise his 2 grandsons, Rajan and Rakesh. After spending 10 years in Kentucky, Dr. and Mrs. Setty made their final move to Irving, Texas, once again to be as close as possible to both their children and now four grandchildren. Sadasiva Setty will be remembered as a kind, loving and honorable husband, father, grandfather, physician and friend. Although he is greatly missed, his family finds comfort in knowing that he has now found rest and peace.
Sadasiva Setty is survived by his wife Jeevarekha Setty; son Naveen Setty and daughter- in- law Gita; daughter Rupa Pachigolla and son- in- law Ravi; and beloved grandsons Rajan, Rakesh, Kunal, and Naeem.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 27, 2015, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas.
