Ruth Elois Taylor, age 84, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on June 27, 2011. She was born February 1, 1927, in Des Moines, Iowa to Alfred and Catherine (Hopson) Anderson. In 1945 Ruth married Francis Harold Taylor in Des Moines, Iowa. She was a member of St. Gabriel the Archangel in McKinney, Texas. She is survived by her children, Tom Taylor of McKinney, Texas, Fran Evers and husband Pat of McKinney, Texas, Peter Taylor and wife Mary Jo of Clarksburg, West Virginia, and Tony Taylor of Montrose, Colorado; grandchildren, Patrick, Jonathan, Christopher, Katie, Paul, Tricia, and John; great-grandson, Eli; sisters, Mary Lou Young of Fairview, Texas and Kay Coffin of Des Moines, Iowa. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Taylor; parents, Alfred and Catherine Anderson; brother, Pete Anderson; and sister, Nancy Anderson. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, 110 Saint Gabriel Way, in McKinney, Texas, with Father Jose Pazheveettil officiating. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset View Memorial Gardens, in Woodstock, Virginia. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Tuesday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a rosary service to following, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
