Ruth L. Shambo, age 90, of Gainesville, Texas, passed away January 15, 2015. She was born on February 12, 1924 in Evansville, Indiana to Fred and Luella (Reinhardt) Bernhardt. In 1945, Ruth married Richard Shambo in Evansville, Indiana. She was a volunteer for many hospitals over the years.

She is survived by her sons, Tom Shambo of Gainesville, Texas and Rick Shambo of Florida; as well as a host of other loving family and friends.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Luella Bernhardt; husband, Richard Shambo; and daughter-in-law, Janet Shambo.
