Ruth Jeanne Carr, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on March 9, 2013 at the age of 80. She was born on March 26, 1932 in Englewood, Colorado, to Howard Forrester and Blanche Edna (Steele) Lloyd. On October 6, 1951, Jeanne married Robert L.Carr in Chula Vista, California. Her hobbies included, sewing, gardening, swimming, golfing and she was an avid bridge player. Jeanne was a story teller and had a published poetry book. She adored her family and loved spending time with them. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, in Allen, Texas.
She is survived by her husband, Robert L.“Bob” Carr of McKinney; children, Dennis R. Carr of McKinney, Robert M. Carr of McKinney, Phillip R. Carr of Allen, Texas, Pamela Miller and husband Ronny of Anna, Texas and Catherine Uhl of Cabot, Arkansas; grandchildren, Crystal Fogel and husband Travis of Little Elm, Texas, Andrew Carr of Allen, Steven Carr of North Carolina, Kendra Pelham and husband Kenneth of Anna, Teri Lowrance of Anna, Jonathan Davis and wife Shannon of Anna, Aaron Davis of Anna, Bobbie Jeanne Bell and husband Jason of Caddo Mills, Texas, Kendra Foss of Ashland, Ohio, Shalee Uhl of Cabot, Arkansas and Kenneth Uhl of Ashland, Ohio; brother, Richard Lloyd and wife Thelma of Santa Rosa, California; and many other loving family members and friends.
Jeanne is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Blanche Lloyd; grandson, Matthew Carr; two brothers; and one sister.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: St. Jude Catholic Church, Building Fund, 1515 N. Greenville Avenue, Allen, TX 75002.
A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, March 15, 2013, at St. Jude Catholic Church. Inurnment to follow at, St. Jude Columbarium. The family will receive friends during a remembrance gathering, being held from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, in Allen, Texas.
