Russell Joseph Willis, age 83, of McKinney, Texas, passed away September 9, 2008, in McKinney. He was born November 7, 1924, in New York, New York, the son of Fred and Estell (Brizilara) Willis. He grew up in New York and served his country during World War II in the United States Army. On March 13, 1947, he married Georgean Marie Boertzel. She preceded him in death on May 31, 2003. Russell was an insurance investigator for AAFES for over twenty years and of the Catholic faith. He is survived by his son, Mark Willis and his wife Ramona of Allen, Texas; grandchildren, Rachel Willis of Allen, Texas, Kristian Willis of Dallas, Texas, and Robin Willis of Arlington, Texas; brother, Richard Willis of Monroe Township, New Jersey; nephew, Michael O’Connell of Charlotte, North Carolina; and a host of other loving family and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife; and his son, Roger Willis. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 16, 2008, at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1515 N. Greenville, Allen, Texas 75002.
