Mr. Russell Martin, age 63, of Frisco, Texas, passed away February 22, 2004, in Pottsboro, Texas. He was born September 15, 1940, in Tulare, California, to George Donald and Zella (Aker) Martin. He served in the U. S. Navy. On August 16, 1997, he married Marcia Hale in McKinney, Texas. He was a self-employed consulting engineer and of the Presbyterian faith. He is survived by his wife, Marcia Martin of Frisco, Texas; mother, Zella Campbell of Fort Worth, Texas; daughters, Sharon Martin of Hawaii, Rebecca Shaffer and husband, Ron of McKinney, Texas, and Marie Wendell and husband, Phil of Austin, Texas; grandchildren, Justin Shaffer and Terah Shaffer, both of McKinney, Zachary Wendell and Allison Wendell, both of Austin, Texas, and Angus McFarlane of Houston, Texas; sisters, Betty Russell and husband, Charles of Pottsboro, June Johnson and husband, Jerry of Hurst, Texas, and Peggy Alvey and husband, Arthur of Fort Worth; stepson, Michael Wallace of Denton, Texas; and stepdaughter, Melanie McFarlane and husband, Greg of Houston. He was preceded in death by his sister, Edna Warren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 25, 2004, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Bro. Ed Neal officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M., Tuesday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
