Ruby Kathryn Trice, age 87, of McKinney, Texas, passed away February 16, 2011, in Sherman. Ruby was born December 30, 1923, in Mills County, Texas, to Charles and Lillie (Stark) Simpson. She married L. E. Trice on April 5, 1957, in Corsicana, Texas. Ruby was a registered nurse and most of her career was spent working at Collin Memorial Hospital in McKinney, Texas. After retirement, she volunteered at a local nursing home. Ruby was a member of Princeton Church of Christ in Princeton, Texas. She is survived by her son, Kevin Trice and his wife, Glynna of McKinney, Texas; daughters Shari Campbell and her husband, Steve of Sherman, Texas and Pam King and her husband, Joe of Princeton, Texas; granddaughters, Megan Campbell, Jessica Reynolds and husband Matt, and Rayne King; grandson, Dustin King; aunt. Viola Hudson of Washington state; sister-in-law, Mae Dobbins of Jefferson, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she dearly loved as well as many cherished friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, L. E. Trice, two brothers, and seven sisters. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 21, 2011, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas with Bruce Boys officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation one hour prior to the service.
