Ruby Ruth Holland Harlow, age 82, of Melissa, TX passed away suddenly at her residence on March 14, 2008. She was born on March 7, 1926 in Warden TX to Allen and Bonnie (Phillips) Holland. She married Haley Harlow on June 2, 1943. She is survived by her husband of 64 years and 4 sons: Haley Jr. and wife Donna, Roger and wife Sheryl, Larry and wife Charlotte all of Anna and Bob Harlow of Melissa, 3 sisters, Delores Richards of Holly Lake Ranch TX, Marinette Lawson of McKinney TX and Suzi Williams of Anna TX. Nine grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was cared for by her granddaughter Tracie Harlow of Melissa. She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers, Homer, Pete, and Joe. Ruth was a graduate of Van Alstyne High School. Ruth was a successful business woman. She loved to fish and work in her yard. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and sister. She attended the First Christian Church of Melissa TX. Her service will be conducted by Brother Mike McConachie. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Monday, March 17, 2008 in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at Melissa Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
