Ruby Rogers, age 94, of Princeton, Texas, passed away November 3, 2007 in McKinney. She was born May 13, 1913, in Princeton, Texas, to Joseph Wells and Minnie Frances (Reed) Godwin. On May 15, 1931, she married William Elmer Rogers in Hugo, OK. He preceded her in death on March 31, 1978. Ruby was a seamstress and a member of First Baptist Church of Princeton. She is survived by her son, William Joe Rogers and his wife Linda of Princeton; daughters, Katheryne Jenkins of Princeton and Linda Wyatt of Princeton; eleven grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Ernest and Marion Godwin; sister, Margie Poston; and a host of other family and friends. Preceding her in death were daughters, Delores Jeffcoat and Matrina Rogers; brothers James, O.B., Virgil, Jack, Albert, and Joe Godwin; and sisters, Effie, Emma and Olgha. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Stan Fike and Rev. Carl Rider officiating. Interment will follow at Princeton Cemetery. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Monday evening beginning at 6:00 PM.
