Mrs. Ruby L. Nelson, age 94, of McKinney, TX, Passed away May 6, 2007, in McKinney, TX. She was born May 13, 1912, in Greenville, TX, to James and Nancy (Pool) Roach. On December 3, 1932, she married James Nelson In Murphy Texas. During World War II she worked at Continental Motors in Garland. She worked at Collin Memorial Hospital for several years and she worked at the Senior Citizen Center for a number of years, where she was a former 4th of July Queen For A Day. She is a member of Waddill Street Baptist Church. She is survived by her children Charles Nelson and his wife Tommie, James Nelson and his wife Lottie of Caddo Mills TX, Doyle Nelson and his wife Doris of McKinney TX, and Patricia Davis and her husband Bobby, Sr. of Plano TX; grandchildren, Brad, Mark, Matt, Kim, Danny, Bobby, II, Melanie Kaye, Melodie, and Brent; great-grandchildren, Brody and Chase, Alex and Jason, Chris and James, Dara, Bobby, III, Amy, Daniel, Adam and Christopher, and Andrew and Jeremy; great-great-grandchild, Angelina; sister, Erma Hebel of Irving TX; and numerous other living relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; sister, Lola Frantz; and brothers, Ollie, Huber and Edward Roach. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Bryan Spurgin officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Tuesday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Tuesday evening beginning at 7:00 PM.
