Ruby Mullins, age 96, of McKinney, Texas, passed away July 9, 2015. Ruby was born October 12, 1918, in Navo, Texas, to William Thomas and Vela Belle (Rutledge) Reynolds. She married Carl Mullins on November 13, 1937, in McKinney. Ruby was a seamstress for Dresses of Dallas for eleven years, the owner and operator of New Hope Grocery from the 1950's until 1973, worked at Gibson’s Discount Center in the jewelry department, and was the manager at McKinney Mini Storage for twenty-four years. She was also a member of the D.A.R, John F. Greer chapter in Anna, Texas. Ruby was a member of Dunn Memorial Baptist Church.
She is survived by her nephews, Ben Reynolds and wife, Carol of Tyler, Texas and Danny Reynolds of Carrollton, Texas; nieces, Brenda Moeller and husband, Al of McKinney, Texas, Jan Reynolds, also of McKinney, Lucretia Hardin and husband, John of Princeton, Texas, and Phyllis McIntosh and husband, Joseph of Plano, Texas; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, John, Robert, and Auther Lee Reynolds, and sisters, Evelyn Davis and Joyce Reynolds.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 11, 2015, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday evening at the funeral home.
