Ruby Hughes, age 88, of Princeton, Texas, passed away September 28, 2014 in Farmersville, Texas. She was born November 15, 1925 in Addison, Texas to Jasper Cora and Ethel (Crawford) Blasingame. Ruby was a graduate of Garland High School. She enjoyed traveling with RV groups, loved to read and play bridge. She married Lloyd Mitchell Hughes on October 17, 1952 in Garland, Texas. Ruby was a member of First Baptist Church in Princeton, Texas.
Ruby is survived by her daughter, Tonja Martin and husband David of Irving, Texas; grandson, Todd Mitchell Goodman and wife Amber of Irving, Texas; sister, Mary Scott Ruth of Gatesville, Texas; great-granddaughter, Beth Paige of Princeton, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Hughes.
A Funeral service will be held Friday, October 3, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation Friday afternoon one hour prior to the service at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
