Mrs. Ruby Jo Hathcock, age 75, of Altoga, Texas, passed away November 21, 2004, in McKinney, Texas. She was born August 28, 1929, in Collin County, Texas, to William E. and Edna (Vermillion) Evans. She married Leroy James Hathcock in 1947 in McKinney. Mrs. Hathcock was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her husband, Leroy Hathcock of Altoga, Texas; sons, Mike Hathcock of Altoga, Texas, and Larry Hathcock and wife, Carrie of Blue Ridge, Texas; daughters, Margaret Ann Abbott and husband, Bobby of Roland, Oklahoma, and Paula Fowles and husband, Jim of Altoga, Texas; brothers, W. E. “Cotton” Evans of McKinney, Texas, Gene Evans and Bob Evans, both of Allen, Texas, Billy Evans of Anna, Texas, Troy Evans of Fort Worth, Texas, Jack Evans of Greenville, Texas, and Cleo Evans of Garland, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; 5 brothers; and 1 sister. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 23, 2004 in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Roger Berghauser officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Monday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
