Mr. Roy Alva Smith, age 91, of Celina, Texas passed away February 13, 2007 in Frisco, Texas. He was born August 30, 1915 in Celina, Texas to George Harper and Bertie Mae (Hays) Smith. He married Rachel Leona Smith on April 11, 1952. Mr. Smith was a farmer and was a member of the Methodist Church in Celina. He served his country in the United States Air Force. Mr. Smith is survived by one sister, Dovie E. Shaw of Celina, Texas, several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephew. He is preceded in death by his wife, Leona Smith, 2 sisters and 5 brothers. Services will be held Saturday, February 17, 2007 at 2:00 pm at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Celina with Pastor Gerald Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Cottage Hill Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Thursday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening beginning at 6:00 pm at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Celina.
