Roy Howard Belew, Jr. was born October 20, 1944 at Whitewright, Texas to Roy H. Belew, Sr. and Dora Ellen Garland Belew. He married Patricia Woodson on July 29, 1967 at Hurst, Texas. He died Sunday, October 7, 2012 at North Hills Hospital in North Richland Hills, Texas at the age of 67.
Buster graduated from Whitewright High School in 1963. He served his nation in the U.S. Army in Korea during Vietnam. He worked as a machinist at Murdock Machining and Engineering and then later at H.M. Dunn. He retired in 2004. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Whitewright. Buster loved people and loved life. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by wife, Pat Belew of Hurst; daughter, Tabatha Garrison and husband Greg of Ft. Worth; son, Marty Belew and Casey of Ft. Worth; granddaughter, Maddison Belew of Watauga. He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Dora Belew.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, Whitewright, Texas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Rodney Stanford and David Woodson. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Whitewright, Texas. Pallbearers will be Matt Shaw, Roger McCullough, David Rowell, Jr., Jonathon Cramer, Christopher Strong, Jeff Stephens, Steve Renfro, David Woodson, and Cody McCollum.
Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Wednesday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday, October 11, 2012 from 1:00pm until service time at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Whitewright, Texas.
