Rosa M. Olmo

Rosa M. Olmo, age 77, of Plano, Texas, passed away May 1, 2014.  She was born on June 5, 1936, in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico, to Ramon and Angelica (Rodriguez) Malave. The family then moved to New York. In 1961 she married Tomas Olmo and made Newark, New Jersey their permanent home. 

Rosa always knew education was very important. She was determined to get her High School Diploma later in years. Through hard work and determination, she reached her goal. She became a School Aide for the Board of Education of New Jersey and dedicated 25 years of service.

Rosa was an active member as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She dedicated much of her free time to helping others to learn about the bible. Family and friends were touched by her dedication, energy and love for life. 

She is survived by her daughter, Irma Santiago and husband Robert of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Robert Santiago, Jr. of Lewisville, Texas, Thomas Santiago and Katiria Santiago both of Plano Texas.

Rosa is preceded in death by her parents, Ramon and Angelica Malave and brother, Jamie Malave.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas.
