Roger D. Richey, age 61, of Mansfield, Texas, passed away April 13, 2008, in Mansfield. He was born October 6, 1946, in Long Island, Alabama, the son of George W. and Claudia E. (Robinson) Richey, Sr. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Roger was the owner-operator of a trucking company who will be remembered by all for his dedication to helping others. He is survived by his sons, Randy and his finace Dawn Trester of McKinney, TX, Scott and his wife Kelly of Pilot Point, TX, Thomas and his wife Lourdes of Trinidad, CO, and Dale and his wife Heather of Arlington, TX; mother, Claudia E. Richey of Bryant, AL; grandchildren, Regan and Emma Richey of Frisco, TX, Mason and Ashtyn Richey of Pilot Point, TX, Alejandra and Jared Richey of Trinidad, CO, and Hannah, Haley and Haden Richey of Arlington, TX; sister, Rita Blevins of Higdon, AL; brother, Charles Richey of Bryant, AL; aunt, Rosa Robinson of Bryant, AL; dear friends, Horace Claudis of Mansfield, TX and Daryl Hendrix of Ft. Worth, TX; and numerous other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father; and brothers, George W. Richey, Jr. and Stan Richey. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at Ryan Funeral Home, Highway 11 South, Trenton, Georgia 30752. Interment will follow at Popular Springs Cemetery in Bryant, Alabama. The family will receive friends during a visitation at Ryan Funeral Home on Monday from 3:00 to 9:00 PM.
