Rodrick Joseph Parr age 78, of Allen, Texas passed away on December 2, 2008. He was born on February 14, 1930, in Parker, Texas to G.M Parr and Elsie (Corbett) Parr. On September 18, 1987 he married Beverly Ellis, in Sulphur Springs, Texas. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Parr of Allen, Texas; son, Richard Parr and wife Kathy of Garland, Texas; daughter, Mary Louise Sims and husband David of Sherman, Texas; stepchildren, Keith Todd, Sharen Rhea, and Terri Rice; grandchildren, Jennifer, Monica, Richard, Tammy, Patricia, Ronnie and Wilson;sister, Fairzana Borkowski of Dallas, Texas; many great grandchildren and a host of other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Margaret, Mary George and Jennie May; brother, Henry Clay; son, Rodrick Joseph Parr, Jr. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 6, 2008 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen, Texas, with Fr. Anthony officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery in St. Paul, Texas. The family will receive friends beginning at 5:30 p.m., on Friday, December 5, 2008 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, with a Rosary Vigil following at 6:00 p.m.
