IN LOVING MEMORY

Robert Adam Snetzer

Dec 22 1978 - May 24 2014

Robert “Adam” Snetzer, 35, of Frisco, Texas passed away following a brilliant and courageous four year battle with cancer on May 24, 2014. He was lifted up to join our Holy Father in eternal peace. Adam graduated from Jesuit High School in Dallas and attended the University of Kansas in Lawrence where he captained the hockey team. Throughout this time, Adam continued to build upon his lifetime legacy of charm, wit and compassionate concern for family and friends. When he walked into a crowded room the entire room became a better place. When Adam saw a friend in need he was there to help and when he saw his family agonizing he soothed their concerns and helped them understand that everything would be OK. This gift will endure in the hearts of those who have been blessed to share his journey with him. Adams competitive zeal penetrated many aspects of life from youth soccer to college level hockey which became his adult athletic passion. He became a loyal and sometimes fanatical fan of the Dallas Stars and enjoyed and often shared a commentator’s gift for sports statistics. When he was no longer able to compete on the ice, his competitive nature turned to on-line gaming where he became globally recognized as a skilled and highly rated player and started his own on-line game development company. Adam carried a broad perspective on life and today’s world having traveled extensively with his family and friends in earlier years and with his wife Renee in more recent years as they shared a zest for new horizons and adventure.

Adam is survived by his devoted and extraordinarily caring wife, Renee Matherne-Snetzer; his incredible mom, Debbie (from whom he inherited his special outgoing spirit) and proud dad, Mike. These three together with his surgeons, skilled and passionate medical professionals at Texas Oncology, the entire group on the 7th Floor of Baylor Plano Hospital and, friends formed TEAM ADAM, building another cherished memory that will surely stand the test of time.

Adam is further survived by his beloved brothers, Michael Snetzer and wife Sonia, their children McKenna, Ava and Greyson and Greg Snetzer and his daughters Neiman and Tanner; uncle, Dennis Gee and wife Kathy; and 8 cousins.
