Robert Leroy Moore, age 78 of Frisco, Texas passed away on May 25, 2013 in Frisco. He was born on October 22, 1934 in Holgate, Ohio to Ivan Leroy and Hazel Marie (Cross) Moore. Robert married Jean Claudette Recker on June 6, 1964 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ottawa, Ohio. He was a Plant Manager working for Campbell Soup and Pepperidge Farm.
A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Robert was loved and admired by all who knew him for his warm and kind personality. Throughout his life, he was passionate about sports, particularly baseball, and found fulfillment in coaching young players. Most importantly, he loved his family very much.
Robert is survived by his wife, Jean Moore of Frisco, Texas; children, Jeffrey Moore and wife, Leigh of Plano, Texas, Mark Moore and wife, Stacey of Austin, Texas, Kelly Alfred and husband, Bart of Lewisville, Texas, Derek Moore and wife, Michelle of Denver, Colorado; grandchildren, Spencer Moore, Kylie Moore, Brett Moore, Zachary Moore, Robert Alfred, Chance Moore; brother, Donald Moore and wife, Betty of Napoleon, Ohio; sisters, Marilyn Maddock and husband, Norman of Mansfield, Texas, Marj Huber of Defiance, Ohio; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Hazel Moore; sisters, Sally Stowell, June Otto; brother, Tommy Moore and brothers-in-law, Paul Cunningham, Charles Huber and Leopold Like.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 7, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 8000 Eldorado Parkway, Frisco, Texas, 75033 with Father Zachary Webb presiding. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Robert’s name to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org/HEARTORG) or to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Frisco, TX.
