Robert Lee McCreary, age 89, of Blue Ridge, Texas passed away December 28, 2007. He was born June 9, 1918 in Parker, Texas to Loy H. and Maude (Stinson) McCreary. On October 1, 1938 he married Mary Lee Merriman in McKinney, Texas. Robert was a farmer and rancher. He was also a member of Blue Ridge Methodist Church. He is survived by his daughter, Melinda Welch of Whitewright, Texas; sons, Larry McCreary and his wife, Pat of Ozark, Arkansas, Mike McCreary and his wife, Tonya of Blue Ridge, Texas; grandchildren, Gary McCreary, Bill McCreary, Ken McCreary, Becky Michael, Cindy Gourd, Ginger Kennemer, Ginny Hamilton, Cody McCreary, Kevin McCreary, Shelby Harbour and Tracie Goracke.; cousin, Watson (Mack) McCreary of Joaquin, Texas; nephews Gerald McCreary and Joe McCreary; nieces Zeda Nicholson and Martha Mosley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lee McCreary in 2005. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 30, 2007, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel Home with Rev. John Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Cemetery, Blue Ridge Texas.
