Robert John Kottenstette of Lucas, Texas passed away January 26, 2013 at the age of 51. He was born December 24, 1961 to John Paul and Francella (Blind) Kottenstette in Fort Madison, Iowa. Bob and Katie were married on December 28th, 1991 in Evanston, Illinois. Bob loved to play softball and he coached many sports over the years. He was masterful at fixing things like broken motorbikes, cars, and televisions. He was a hard working man who loved his job and staying busy. Bob enjoyed watching all sports especially motocross, Nascar, hockey, and football. He appreciated a good meal and four wheeling! Bob cherished his family outings and adored watching his son, J., play hockey and ride motorcross. He was a wonderful family man who will be dearly missed.
Bob is survived by his wife Katie Kottenstette of Lucas, Texas; son, J. Kottenstette of Lucas; daughter, Courtney Scholari of Carrollton, Texas; sister, Judy Poduska and husband Larry of Iowa; brothers, Tom Kottenstette and wife Linda of Wyoming and Pete Kottenstette and wife Carol of Iowa; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Kottenstette of Texas and Diana Kottenstette of Iowa; and many loving nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Francella Kottenstette and brothers, Jim and Joe Kottenstette.
A rosary, visitation, and personal tributes will be held the evening of Thursday, January 31st from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow funeral home in Allen. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 1st followed by a luncheon at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1515 N. Greenville, Allen, Texas 75002.
