Robert Martin “Bob” Holt, age 64 of Frisco, Texas passed away on October 10, 2010 peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 6, 1946 in Dallas, Texas to John McDuffy Holt, Jr. and Georgeine (McCoulskey) Holt. Bob married Sally Jo Stelzer on October 20, 1973 in Celina, Texas. He was an Insurance Agent with State Farm and a member of Trinity Fellowship Church of Richardson, Texas. Bob was raised in Vivian, LA and graduated from North Caddo High School in 1964. He then attended Louisiana Tech University and received a Bachelors Degree in 1968. Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and son. He loved to read, spend time with his family, travel, play golf with his friends, and enjoyed the outdoors. Bob loved the Lord with all his heart and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Bob is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sally Stelzer Holt, Frisco, Texas; son, James Wade Holt and his wife, Catherine of Frisco, Texas; daughters, Carrie Frances Holt of McKinney and Sara Holt Burke and her husband, Jason of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Jobe, Malia and Nash Holt, Georgia, Ellie and Jonah Burke; Mother, Georgeine Robbins of Vivian, Louisiana; brothers, John McDuffy Holt, III and his wife, Edweda of Oil City, Louisiana and Richard Holt of Longview, Texas; sister, Connie Pullen and her husband, Jack of Rockwall, Texas and his sister-in-law, Marta Holt of Navarre, Florida. He is preceded in death by his father. The family will receive friends at a Visitation to be held from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Frisco, Texas. Funeral Services will be held at Trinity Fellowship Church, 932 S. Greenville Avenue, Richardson TX 75081 at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 with Dr. Carl Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Cottage Hill Cemetery in Celina, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Pancreatic Cancer Research at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.
