Robert “Bob” Samuel Ford, age 83, of McKinney, Texas, passed away October 26, 2009, in Frisco, Texas. Bob was born December 23, 1925 in Lansing, Michigan, to Robert Lloyd and Fern (Pratt) Ford. He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Brigadier General. He is survived by his wife, Jan of McKinney, Texas; daughters, Lesley Croysdale and her husband, Dennis of McKinney, Texas and Lin Engbert and her husband, Peter of Sacramento, California; sons, Robert Somers Ford and his wife, Christina of Los Gatos, California and William R. Ford and his wife, Theresa of Potomac, Maryland; sister, Elizabeth Myers of Muskegon, Michigan; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Russell Ford and William Ford. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 30, 2009, at the Church of the Epiphany in Richardson, Texas with Rev. Bill Cavanaugh officiating. An interment will follow at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date.
