Robert "Bob" Lee Miller

Robert “Bob” Miller, of McKinney, Texas passed away on June 1, 2015 at the age of 90. He was born to Daniel Robert and Hettie Elvira (Grayum) Miller on July 15, 1924 in Velma, Oklahoma. He grew up in Oklahoma and married Cleetis Odell Gatlin on December 29, 1949 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Bob proudly served in the United States Army in the 75th Infantry during World War II. He owned and operated restaurants through the years in Amarillo, Groom and Panhandle, Texas and was also an auctioneer. Bob enjoyed fishing, working in the yard, and raising chickens and goats. He was an avid reader, especially westerns.

He is survived by his children, Sherri Bobo and husband Joe Sadowy of McKinney, Texas, Danny Miller of McKinney, Texas and Jerry Moore of Amarillo, Texas; grandchildren, Stephanie Adrian of McKinney, Texas, Benjamin Adrian of McKinney, Texas, Treina Holly of Comanche, Oklahoma and Bradley Moore and wife Teresa of Amarillo, Texas; great-grandchildren, Seth Detten of Denton, Texas, Mikaela Detten of McKinney, Texas and Tyler Fehr and husband Ricky of Amarillo, Texas; two great-great-grandchildren and a host of other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three brothers, one sister, and step-son, Bill Moore.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Genesis Church, 5780 Virginia Parkway in McKinney, Texas. Interment will follow at Truce Cemetery in Truce, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
