Robert "Bob" James Maher

Robert “Bob” James Maher, age 68, of Fairview, Texas, passed away May 1, 2014.  He was born on October 15, 1945, in Buffalo, New York to Philip Edmund and Grace (Butler) Maher.  Bob proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  On July 10, 1971, he married Antina Stornelli in Medina, New York.  Bob earned his MBA degree in Organizational Behavior from New York University, his MS degree in Industrial Psychology from Purdue University and his BA degree in Humanities from Canisius Collage.  He retired from Ernst and Young, as the Northeast Regional Director, after 14 years of service; and previously worked as the Regional Director of Human Resources at International Paper. 

He is survived by his wife, Antina Maher of Fairview, Texas; son, Brendan Maher and wife Lisa of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, William James Maher and Robert Hankinson Maher; brothers, Philip Maher of Surprize, Arizona, Thomas Maher and wife Michele of Hamburg, New York, Jeremiah Maher and wife Lia of Folsom, California; sister-in-law, SueAnn Zinkievich of Medina, New York; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Bob is preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 8, 2014 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1515 N. Greenville Ave, Allen, Texas. A Celebration of Life reception will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Friday, May 9, 2014 at Heritage Ranch Club House, 465 Scenic Ranch Circle, McKinney, Texas.
