Richard Eugene Weadon

Richard Eugene Weadon, age 66, of Plano, Texas, passed away July 24, 2008, at his home in Plano, after a short illness. He was born in Columbus, Georgia on April 22, 1942. After graduating from high school in Killeen, Texas, in 1960, he joined the United States Air Force. While stationed at Davis Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Arizona, he met Penny Allen. On October 16, 1965, he and Penny were married. Richard is survived by his two daughters, Julie Weadon Henderson of Midlothian, Texas and Michele Weadon of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Connie Henderson of San Marcos, Texas, Cristopher Henderson (Melissa) of Frisco, Texas, and Gabriel Allen Weadon of Plano, Texas. He is also survived by his brother, Robert Weadon (Sara Beth) of Cleburne, Texas and his sister, Mary Weadon Dias (Dan) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Nieces and nephews that will miss their Uncle Richard are Gregory Weadon (Cheryl and their children, Ariby and Justice, of Bristow, Virginia; Paige Weadon Sloan (Ray Del) and their children, Matt and Zach, of Forney, Texas; Gerald Dias of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Michael Dias of New Carlisle, Indiana and Michael’s children, Cody and Mattieson of Marcus, Iowa; Marshall Dias (Sarah) of Ottumwa, Iowa; Matthew Dias of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Kathy Brunson (Karen Lenzin) of Grand Prairie, Texas; and Karla Brunson King and her daughter, Kalea of Cleburne, Texas . Preceding him in death were his wife, Penny; his parents, Francis “Red” Weadon and Velma Miller Weadon Bowie; and step-father, T P (Preacher) Bowie. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Inurnment with full military honors will follow at 1:00 PM at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
