Richard “Rick” M. Spotts, age 58, of McKinney, Texas, passed away August 23, 2015. Rick was born October 13, 1956, in Youngstown, Ohio, to William Paul and Mary (Jaros) Spotts. He graduated in 1974 from Ursuline High School in Youngstown, Ohio. Rick was employed with CVS, working his way up from clerk to the corporate office. He later opened his own sales and brokerage company. Rick loved first generation Chevrolet Camaros and took first place in his division at the old downtown McKinney Car Show. He was a member of the North Texas Camaro Club. Rick was an avid sports fan and especially loved the Cleveland Browns. His favorite phrase was “ballgame-season”. Rick loved his family and had been happily married for three years.
He is survived by his wife, Kristin Spotts of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Alyssa Spotts and husband, Steven Clayton of Columbus, Ohio; son, Corey Spotts and fiancée, Haley Martin; grandchildren, Tyler, Olivia, and Vance; mother, Mary Spotts of Mesa, Arizona; brothers, Bill Spotts and wife, Carole, also of Mesa and Michael Spotts and wife, Mary of Willoughby, Ohio; sister, Gayle Stallings and husband, Robin of Austin, Texas.
A “Rev Your Engine Memorial” service will be held at 8:30 a.m., Saturday, August 29, 2015, at La Madeleine Restaurant in McKinney. Services in Rhode Island are pending at this time.
