Richard Eugene “Gene” Kidd, age 63, of McKinney, Texas, passed away September 17, 2014. He was born April 22, 1951 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, to Homer Boyd and Opal Lois (Dansby) Kidd. Gene was an avid cyclist, a motorcycle enthusiast and loved cars.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Kidd of McKinney, Texas; children, Kimberly Kidd Ledesma and husband Martin of Princeton, Texas, Beau Kidd and wife Cristina of Crosby, Texas, Katy Kidd of McKinney, Texas and Molly Kidd of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Nicolas Ledesma, Diego Ledesma and Dimitri Kidd; brothers, Fred Kidd and wife Kathy of Vinita, Oklahoma, Leland Kidd and wife Linda of Owasso, Oklahoma and Eddie Kidd of Edmond, Oklahoma; sister-in-law, Nancy Kidd of Edmond, Oklahoma; mother of Kimberly and Beau, Kathy Jones of Chamberlain, South Dakota.
Gene is preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive friends during a memorial gathering, being held from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, September 21, 2014, at El Dorado Country Club, 2604 Country Club Drive, McKinney, Texas 75070.
