IN LOVING MEMORY

Richard B. James, Jr.

Jan 16 1937 - May 25 2008

A very special gentleman blessed his parents, Richard B. James, Sr. and Suzanne Erskine Sams in Coral Gables, Florida in 1937. We lost this extraordinary man, his sense of humor, intelligence, and passion, on Sunday, May 25, 2008, in Mckinney, Texas. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Ann, companion for forty eight years; three wonderful sons, Jay and his wife, Kim; J Todd and his wife, Susanne, and Jeffrey James; grandchildren: Taylor, Kendyl, Travis, Dillon and Jessica; brother, Robert H James, wife, Judith Ann and family. Dick was a self-made individual who loved his family, his country, the Marine Corps, and the Cincinnati Reds. Few people knew the depth of his passion. There was a gentleness that only a few people saw or understood. He touched many lives-Now he is finally at peace, at long last free of pain, lying softly in the arms of the angels, listening to the sounds of the animals that so intrigued him. We sincerely pray that this special man has found his "Laughing Place". Soar high. Keep guard. Know you are loved and will be missed by many. If you would like to remember the man, his wish would be to always tell those you care about of your affection.
