Richard E. “Dick” Honea, age 90, of McKinney, Texas passed away February 21, 2009. He was born November 25, 1918 in McKinney, Texas to Robert E. and Mollie (Linderman) Honea. On August 19, 1939 he married Edna Jinnie V. Biggs in McKinney, Texas. Dick was a member of Community North Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughter, Mollie Self and her husband, Bill of McKinney; sons, Tommy Honea and his wife, Vickie of Anna, Jimmie Honea and his wife, Martha of McKinney; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; brother, Bob Honea of San Diego, California; sisters, Imogene Gardner of Terrell, Texas, Mary Phillips of McKinney, Texas and numerous other loving relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Honea; son, Rick Honea; granddaughter, Lisa Self Hall and his parents. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 24, 2009, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
