Richard Leroy Hepburn, age 75, of Allen, Texas, passed away March 6, 2008 in Plano, Texas. He was born May 23, 1932, in Lindsay, California, the son of Percy and Polly (Blackwood) Hepburn. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from UCLA and his Master’s Degree from the Air Force Institute of Technology. He served his country in the United States Air Force, leaving after ten years of service with the rank of Captain. On June 21, 1952, he married Gloria Givens in Hollywood, California. He was member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Allen First Ward. Mr. Hepburn was an aerospace engineer who worked for TRW and E-Systems. He is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Gloria; sons, David Hepburn and his wife, Maria of Plano and Steven Hepburn and his wife, Tammy of Torrence, CA; daughters, Tina Hepburn of Oklahoma City, Kathryn Flora and her husband, Jeff of Chino Hills, CA and Maryann Lauritzen and her fiance, Juan of Oklahoma City; fourteen grandchildren; brother, Paul Hepburn of Las Vegas, NV; sister, Carolle Baer of Las Vegas, NV; and numerous other loving relatives and friends. He was proceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM, Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Allen Stake Center with Bishop Arnold officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Fitzhugh Cemetery in Forest Grove, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home on Monday evening beginning at 7:00 PM.
