Richard "Dick" Lyman Ingraham

Richard “Dick” Lyman Ingraham, age 86, of Morgan’s Point, Texas, passed away quietly while surrounded by family, on Saturday, September 24, 2016 in McKinney, Texas.  Dick was born October 30, 1929 in Franklin, PA to Sadie and Lyman Ingraham.  He graduated from Trinity High School in Washington, PA and then moved to Houston, Texas on June 1, 1948.  Dick joined the Air National Guard in 1948, and was called to active duty in 1950; he served 13 months in Korea.  Dick attended the University of Houston after returning from Korea, and worked in the electrical supply business in Houston for 50 years.  He was a long time active member of the La Porte Masonic Lodge # 857 and Legion of Honor at the Arabia Shrine Center in Houston. Dick was also a member of First United Methodist Church in La Porte, Texas and was on the SPR Committee for member planning and zoning for the City of Morgan’s Point.

Dick is survived by step-sons, Bill Walker and wife Janet of Georgetown, Texas, Arnold Walker and wife Judy of Tyler, Texas; step-daughter, Dianne Baker and husband Bill of Frisco, Texas; 5 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Mae Ingraham in 2000 and second wife Alexine Ingraham in 2015; parents, Sadie and Lyman Ingraham; sisters, Margaret Ingraham, Juva Griffith and Clara Hall.

A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church, in La Porte, Texas, on Monday, October 10, 2016 at 4:00PM.
