Richard "Dick" Hamilton

Richard “Dick” Waddell Hamilton, age 75 of Frisco, Texas passed away on October 12, 2015 in Plano, Texas. He was born on July 11, 1940 in Jefferson, Iowa to Avis Elizabeth (Waddell) and William Wood Hamilton. On July 13, 1968, Dick married the love of his life, Susan Walker, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Dick graduated from TCU and was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity.  Dick remained a Horned Frog fan for life. He was also an avid golfer and most recently played with the Richardson Senior Golf League.

Dick's entire career was in banking in Ft. Worth, Austin, Longview, and Dallas. Most recently, he was an Independent Banking Consultant traveling to various parts of the U.S.  

Dick is survived by his wife, Susan Hamilton of Frisco, Texas; son, James Hamilton (Shannon) of LakeWay, Texas; daughter, Korey Burdett (John) of Frisco, Texas; five grandchildren, Brennan and Sydney Hamilton and Hamilton, Grayson, and Dawson Burdett; Dr. Stephen Hamilton (Kenneth Huber) of Eden Prairie, Minnesota; sister-in-law Tonya Tucker (Ron) of Cedar Creek, Texas; and sister-in-law, Rosalie Harrison (John) of Boone, Iowa. Dick also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.  

Dick is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Robert.

A Memorial Service will be held at Grace Avenue United Methodist Church, 3521 Main Street, Frisco Texas 75034, on Friday, October 23 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Billy Echols-Richter officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Heart Association or North Texas PGA Junior Golf Foundation at www.youcaring.com/dickhamilton.
