Rev. Tyrone Wade Hannah, Sr. was born on March 21, 1946 in Cameron, TX to the union of Sammie L. and Eula Mae Hannah. He was united in holy matrimony to Peggy Carol Rodgers on May 28, 1966 and of this blessed union came five children, Tyra, Tyrone Jr., Tyson, Darwyn and Tammi. Rev. Hannah retired after 31 years with American Airlines. He was baptized by Brother Dillinham at the Victoria Street Church of Christ in 1964 and united with Friendship Baptist Church in 1986. On November 27, 1988 he answered the Call of God to the ministry under the leadership of Dr. Paul McBride and became the first assistant pastor of the Friendship body. Rev. Hannah was committed to serving the Lord in excellence. In addition to serving as assistant pastor of Friendship, he was also given the opportunity to serve as interim pastor of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church in Garland for 2 years. He leaves to celebrate his homegoing his loving and devoted wife, Peggy Carol Hannah; children, Tyra Mitchell & wife Michael, Rev. Tyrone Hannah, Jr. & wife Sondra, Tyson Hannah & wife Ann, Darwyn Moore and Tammi Hannah; fifteen grandchildren; father, Sammie Lee Hannah; brother, Nathaniel Hannah; sister, Gail Reed and a host of other family members and countless friends. Friends may visit and pay their respects at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Frisco on Friday, July 9, 2004 from 6-8PM. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2004 at Friendship Baptist Church in The Colony at 11:00 AM with Dr. Paul McBride officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview West Memorial Park in Frisco, TX
