Rev. Tom F. Ogdon of McKinney, Texas passed away September 16, 2015 at the age of 76. He was born June 15, 1939 to Arvel Ogdon and Pauline (Owens) Ogdon in Muldrow, Oklahoma. Rev. Tom served his country proudly in the United States Air Force from 1957-1961. He married Allene Faye Mattox on March 7, 1960 in Van Buren, Arkansas. Rev. Tom faithly spent fifty-one years in ministry as a pastor, evangelist and missionary. He built several churches overseas. Before God sent him to McKinney to build a church, he served with the Assemblies of God for twenty-eight years. Rev. Tom built Cornerstone Worship Center and retired after thirteen years. After retirement from Cornerstone, he started Victory Christian Church where he pastored for ten years before permanently retiring.
He is survived by his wife, Allene Ogdon of McKinney, Texas; daughters, Dianna Burch and husband David of Princeton, Texas and Donna Strait and husband Sam of Oronogo, Missouri; grandchildren, Jeremy Parham and wife Jessica of Luguna Nigul, California, Aaron Parham of McKinney, and Sean Harris and wife Kendall of Allen, Texas; great-grandchildren, Trey Parham, Abby Parham, Allison Harris, Caitlin Harris, Carli Harris, Peyton Harris, Ashleigh Olsen, and Baylee Olsen; brothers, Charles Ogdon and wife Noami of Muldrow Oklahoma and Jerry Ogdon and wife Peggy of Vinita, Oklahoma.
Rev. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Deanna Ogdon and sister, Dorthene Jenkins.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 Monday, September 21, 2015 at Way of Grace Community Church, 1720 Bray Central, Dr., McKinney, Texas 75069. Interment is to follow at Fitzhugh Cemetery in Forest Grove Community, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
