Rev. Ray Douglas, age 67, of McKinney, Texas, passed away September 9, 2013 in McKinney, Texas. He was born March 5, 1946 in Puyallup, Washington, to Charles and Ada Reed (Campbell) Douglas. On June 4, 2006, Raymond married Annette Darlene Grimes in McKinney, Texas. Raymond worked as a school bus driver for Lovejoy ISD; previously he worked as an assistant pastor at Tacoma Christian Center, pastored at Whiterock Baptist Church in Melissa, Texas and pastored at Open Door Baptist Church in Farmersville, Texas. Raymond was a member of the Word of Life Church in McKinney, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Annette Douglas of McKinney, Texas; children, Tonia Carter and her husband Lance of Denison, Texas, Lori Embry and her husband Kevin of Tom Bean, Texas; Ray Douglas Jr. and his wife Christie of Denison, Texas, Michael Douglas and his wife Mary of McKinney, Texas, Shandra Dawn Douglas and life partner Raquel of Brownwood, Texas and Michelle Bailey; his brothers, Charles Douglas, Bill Douglas and Rick Douglas all of Phoenix, Arizona; his sister, Renay Douglas of Tacoma, Washington; thirteen grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Ronald Douglas.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, September 14, 2013, at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 P.M. at First Christian Church, in the Discipleship Center Recreational Hall, in McKinney, Texas.
