Rev. R. Don Hall May 17, 1933 - October 27, 2008 Beloved husband and father was escorted to the throne of Christ on October 27, 2008. Funeral Services will be Thursday, October 30, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel in Leonard, TX Officiating will be Rev. Denny Gorena FBC Leonard. Don was born in Norfolk, VA. May 17, 1933, the son of the late Lewis Hall Sr. and Helen Hall. Don graduated from Kitty Hawk High School, Kitty Hawk, NC and attended Piedmont Bible College, Winston-Salem, NC. He served his country in the Korean conflict on the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt. He served in churches in Cove, AR, San Simon, AZ, Blackjack, TX, Engelhard, NC, Powell, WY, and performed evangelistic work at many campgrounds. He was a Master Mason of the Doric Masonic Lodge No. 44 A.F. & A.M Chesapeake, VA. Preceded in death by wife, Carol Absher, and daughter, Kathy. He is survived by daughters Karen and Donna Lynn, 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He is also survived by wife, Margy S., son Luke and wife Kristi of Bay City, TX. Although Margy's children were not his own- he loved them as if they were. Preceded in death by Donna Benge and grandson Kash Lane Hall. Survived by David Holland and wife Jodi of OR, Diane Walsh and husband James of Howe, TX, Debra Wilcox and husband Rusty of Leonard, TX, Darylann Wilson and husband Mike of Cameron, OK, Dafne Stengel and husband Jerry of Sherman, TX, 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be David Wilcox, Josh Wilcox, Russell Wilcox, Michael Hall, Andrew Wilson, Jesse Walsh, Drew Stengel, Cameron Garcia, Matt Glenn Rawls, Alvin Benge, and Brady Mears. Family visitation will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2008 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel in Leonard, TX.
