Rev. Jolly E. Terry of McKinney, Texas passed away December 6, 2011 at the age of 81. He was born July 29, 1930 to Alonzo Edgar (A.E.) and Mattie Melvina (Pack) Terry in McKinney, Texas. Rev. Terry married Peggy Ruth Jordon on November 12, 1948 in McKinney. He and Peggy ministered and evangelized the country in many venues for more than 50 years including Missionary work in Mexico. Rev. Terry pastored in Beaumont, Houston, over 22 years in McKinney at South Side Assembly of God, The Gospel Barn also in McKinney and Praise & Worship Church in Van Alstyne. He owned and operated The Jolly Good Book Store located in downtown McKinney. Rev. Terry is survived by his sons, Jolly Wayne Terry and wife Annetta of Van Alstyne, Ronald Terry and wife Debbie of McKinney; daughters, Karen Nelson and husband Marty of Anna, Gigi Keyes and husband Bruce of McKinney, Lori Sprouse and husband David of McKinney; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sisters, Betty Helen Pope of Dallas, Carol Rigo of McKinney; brother, Eddie Terry and wife Linda of McKinney. He was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Ruth Terry, daughter; April Ruth Terry, son, Mitchell Jaruth Terry; parents Alonzo and Mattie Terry. Funeral services will be held, 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 10, 2011 at the Family Worship Center in McKinney. Interment to immediately follow at Stoney Point Cemetery in Melissa, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
