Rebecca (Becky) M. Collins, 73, a long-time resident of the Jackson, TN, passed June 4, 2015 at Mustang Creek Estates Memory Care Center in Allen, TX. She resided at the center for two years where she received great care, and was close to her oldest son and his family. Becky was born February 27, 1942 in Bolivar TN, to the late William Alton and Eula McKinnie. After graduating Bolivar Central High School, she moved to Jackson, TN where she resided until age 71. Becky retired in 2003 from West TN Industrial Association after forty years of service. She also worked part-time for the City of Jackson, and served as secretary/treasurer for the West TN State Fair Board of Directors for many years until her health declined. Becky loved being around people in a social environment, and her job with the City of Jackson and the West TN Fair Board provided this for her. Becky loved reading, gardening and cooking. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bemis, TN where she was a member of the Sunshine Sunday School Class.
She is survived by two sons, Rayford Collins Jr, his wife Debbie and grandson Adam who resides in Allen, TX, her youngest son, Michael Collins and father of grandson Bryson who resides in Medon, TN; brother, EW McKinnie and his wife Cheri of Jackson, TN, a sister Naomi Pyles and her husband Robert of Jackson, TN, and her youngest brother, Dennis McKinnie of Atlanta, GA and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
At a later date, a private memorial service will be established back in her hometown of Jackson, TN.
