Ray James Pierron

Ray James Pierron, age 98 of Allen, Texas, passed away May 31, 2014 in Allen, Texas. He was born in Morgan City, Louisiana to Arthur Albert and Mabel (Picou) Pierron. Ray married Lydia ( Champagne ) Pierron on January 18, 1941 in Chauvin, Louisiana . He proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II, and afterwards went on to work at Texaco as an electrician for forty-two years until he retired.

Ray is survived by his son, Elliot Pierron and wife Theresa of Allen, Texas; grandkids, Allison Pierron and Stephen Pierron both of Allen, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lydia Pierron, twin brother Roy Pierron, brothers Wilbur Pierron and Frank Pierron, half-brother Richard Pierron, and half-sisters Helen Waguespack and Cecile Prejean.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jude´s Catholic Church in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation to be held Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery, 5232 Highway 56, Chauvin, Louisiana, 70344.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Pierron, Julio Martinez Crespo, Arturo Silva, Jamison Rewitzer, Joaquin Lopez, Ron Staes, and Mike Petrik. 

The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Derek LeJeune, the staff of the Belmont at Twin Creeks, especially Judy, Azuca, Pamela, Yolanda, Rosie, Rafael, and Darryl, and the staff of the Hospice Compassus organization, especially Chaplain Fred Bacon.
