Randall Lee Tinsley

Randall Lee Tinsley of Prosper, Texas, passed away on October 17, 2016, after a hard fought battle with cholangiocarcinoma.  He was born June 22, 1956, in Dallas, Texas, to Elmo and Pattie Tinsley.  Randy graduated from Kimball High School in 1974.  On September 5, 1986, Randy married Kimberly Ann Baker. They celebrated 30 years of marriage this year and are blessed with two wonderful daughters, Taylor and Carlee.  

Randy was employed with Valspar Corporation until he retired in 2013 after twenty years of service.  His most memorable time with the company was when he oversaw their program with NHRA Racing.  Randy was an avid collector of Dr Pepper advertising and a charter member of the 10-2-4 Dr Pepper Collectors Club where he served in many roles over the years.  He also served on the Board of Directors of the Dr Pepper Museum in Waco, Texas.  Through school, work, his collecting, as a neighbor, or through his daughters' friends and activities, Randy made lasting friendships with those he met and will be fondly remembered by friends and family.  

He is survived by his wife, Kim Tinsley of Prosper, Texas; daughters, Taylor Tinsley and Carlee Tinsley both of Prosper; sister, Cindy Dott of Dallas; brothers, Rod Tinsley and wife Kay of Dallas, Texas, Ron Tinsley and wife Annie of Egg Harbor City, New Jersey; nieces and nephews, Sean Tinsley, Timothy Dott and wife Rachael, Kaci Tinsley, Erica Schwarze and husband Alexander, Kara Tinsley and Austin Beavers, Katherine Goller, and Bradley Goller.

Randy is preceded in death by his parents, Elmo and Pattie Tinsley.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 21, 2016, at Prosper United Methodist Church, 205 S. Church Street, Prosper, Texas 75078.
