Ramon Guadalupe Martinez, age 57, of Casa Grande, Arizona, formerly of McKinney, Texas, passed away April 11, 2011. He was born on December 21, 1953, in McKinney, Texas, to Guadalupe and Maria Anita (Escamilla) Martinez. Ramon was a world traveler but loved spending time with his family more than anything. He was a member of St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church in Casa Grande, Arizona. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Martinez of Casa Grande, Arizona; son, Christopher Martinez and his wife Stefanie of Fort Worth, Texas; daughter, Lisandra Leal and husband Abel of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Isaiah Galvan, Sara Galvan, Isaac Martinez, Elijah Martinez, Gabriela Martinez, and Seven Leal; mother, Maria Anita Martinez of McKinney, Texas; sisters, Mary Lou Garza, Gloria Martinez, Christina Martinez, and Olga Villa all of McKinney, Texas; brother, Guadalupe Martinez of Lake Lavon, Texas; other numerous loving family members and friends. Ramon was preceded in death by his father and sister, Rosalinda Martinez. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 15, 2011, at 12:00 p.m., at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, in McKinney, Texas with Father Cruz Calderon officiating. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Thursday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a rosary service Thursday evening beginning at 7:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
