Ralph Dale Caraway age 52, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on February 26, 2009. He was born on August 26, 1956 in Wichita, Kansas to Thomas Dale and Sue (Wilson) Caraway. He graduated from Plano High School and attended University of Texas at Austin where he studied and became very proficient in law. He was a former member and President of the Kiwani’s Club in Plano. He organized the Butterfly Festival in Plano and loved helping people who were in need; he was a very generous to many people. His many hobbies included, rare coin collecting, of which he was an expert at. He also raised thoroughbred horses. He enjoyed all types of cars and had a love of flying. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and attended Chestnut Square Baptist Church in McKinney. One of the most memorable characteristics of Ralph Dale was his quick wit, humor and his ability to make everyone smile with his joke of the day. He is survived by his parents, Dale and Bonnie Caraway of McKinney, Texas; sisters, Angela Schaar and husband Art of McKinney, Texas, Camile Reynolds and husband George of San Antonio, Texas and Karen Long of Princeton, Texas; nieces and nephews, Aaron, Allison, Anna and Ashlee Schaar and Riley, Savannah and Parker Reynolds, and Amanda and J.T. Long, and numerous other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sue Wilson Caraway. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 2, 2009 at the First Baptist Church in McKinney with Rev. Randy Moreland and Chaplain Ricky Hargraves officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00 p.m., on Sunday, March 1, 2009 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
