Mrs. Rachel Vitito, age 86, of McKinney, Texas passed away on March 9, 2004 in McKinney. She was born on October 23, 1917 to Ollie and Vada (King) Carrell in Princeton, Indiana. On October 23, 1936, she married Melvin E. Vitito in Princeton, Indiana. She was a homemaker and a past member of the McKinney Quilter’s Guild. She is survived by her sons, Tom Vitito of McKinney, Texas and Gary R. Vitito of Gainsville, Florida; daughter, Nancy J. Gray of Longwood, Florida; grandchildren, Scott Wilkey of Gainsville, Florida, Major Brian Wilkey, USAF of Washington, D.C., David Vitito of Lakeland, Florida, Chris Vitito of Celebration, Florida, Tracy Jennings of McKinney, Texas and Tim Vitito of Dallas, Texas; great-grandchildren, Austin and Kate Jennings of McKinney, Texas, Davis and Skyler Wilkey of Gainsville, Florida, Rachel, Kyle and Hunter Vitito of Lakeland, Florida and Christopher Vitito of Celebration, Florida. Her husband, Melvin and sister, Marjorie Sharp preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 13, 2004 at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home in Clearwater, Florida. Interment will follow at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday prior to service. Arrangements were under the direction of Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
